Let me help you get those P60s generated for the 2024-2025 tax year.
In QuickBooks Online Payroll, the Active Year dropdown only displays tax years where you have successfully processed a pay run.
In any case, if you don't see the 2024-2025 option, it means the system hasn't recorded any payroll activity or transactions for that specific window yet.
Before the system can generate a P60, it should verify that you were an active employer during the tax year.
Here's how to double-check:
- Go to the Reports tab.
- Select the Payroll Payment History or Payroll Summary report.
- Set the date range specifically to 06/04/2024 to 05/04/2025.
If no data appears, you'll have to complete and finalise your last pay run for that year.
Once you've confirmed that payroll was run, you can follow these steps to grab the forms:
- Go to Settings and select Payroll Settings.
- Ensure the Active Tax Year is set to 2024-2025 by clicking the dropdown option.
- Head back to the Payroll menu and select Employees.
- Select the Documents tab or click into specific employee and look for their P60 section.
- Click View or Download to generate the PDF.
