How do i record auto insurance claim cheque ?

I have received an insurance claim payment for a written off vehicle how will I record it and remove the vehicle from our system

You can enter the payment received using a bank deposit (see the 'Add funds to this deposit' section) or journal entry.

 

If you're unsure which accounts (from your Chart of accounts) to select on here, we'd recommend reaching out to your bookkeeper or accountant for support. 

 

If you don't already have an accountant, you can find a QuickBooks certified ProAdvisor near you on our online directory
