After a chat conversation. An advisor emailed me to say they had unfiled a rejected CIS submission I had made. I tried again to resubmit. It was again rejected. I have had to submit manually. Why did this happen? My HMRC log in details are correct.
Thank you for posting here in QuickBooks Community and for providing detailed information you've done to fix the issue.
Since you confirmed that your HMRC login details are correct, it could be that the HMRC details in your Account and Settings may not match what's on the HMRC website. That said, I'd suggest making sure that they have the same information.
However, if they correctly matched and the error you're encountered is your login credential, this issue has been recently reported. Our product engineers are working to fix this as soon as possible.
At this time, manually submit CIS Liability via the HMRC portal as a workaround.
I'd suggest contacting our QuickBooks Support Team, so they can add you to our notification list. This will help our engineers determine the number of affected users. You'll also receive an update through email once this has been resolved.
Here's how to contact them:
1. Open your QuickBooks Account.
2. At the top right, click the Help icon.
3. Click Contact Us.
4. Under What can we help you with?, enter your concern about rejected CIS submission.
5. Click Let's Talk.
6. You'll be routed into the Choose a way to connect with us page.
7. Select how you want to contact them and fill in the information.
I had a chat help with an advisor on Quickbooks. They said they had unfiled the rejected CIS return, I attempted to submit the return after them saying to do so, and it rejected it again. I now have two rejected returns for the same period. Luckily, I managed to submit via HMRC website before the cut off date, and not obtain a late return penalty. Please can this issue be sorted for when I need to submit next return.
