i have a second job can i add this i help sort out my tax codes

Hi

I have a business which i use QuickBooks for and i get paid monthly through this. I have now got a second job which is my main job that i work full time at, is there anyway to combine my tax codes to show this on here or do i need to get HMRC to sort it out?

Congrats on your second job, @lincsSmart. I'll provide information and steps so you're able to set up your tax codes.

 

You can directly contact HMRC to sort out your tax codes for the new job. QuickBooks automatically calculates your income, minus expenses based on the information you’ve uploaded. However, VAT isn’t automatically included so you’ll have to take account of that.

 

In case you need to create an additional VAT code unique to your company, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Go to Taxes, then select VAT.
  2. Click Add Tax.
  3. Select the type of tax you want to add.
  4. Hit Save.
