In Quickbooks Payroll how to process a monthly payroll which can be 4 or 5 weeks in a month. Paid 25th of every month.

I can add pay run as 28 days but then the tax and NI are wrong. If I run as monthly the tax and NI are correct but the pay period showing on the payslip is a calander month not 28 days.

QuickBooks Online would automatically include the entire month if the payroll schedule is set to monthly, accounts@ballife.

While you can adjust the number of days when running a pay cycle, taxes and National Insurance (NI) calculations would no longer be accurate in this case.

Please see this article for more details on creating a pay run and running payroll in QBO: Create A Pay Run In QuickBooks Online Advanced Payroll And QuickBooks Bureau Payroll.

To avoid confusion, you'll want to inform your employees in advance about the pay period when running payroll.

I can see that having this flexibility with pay periods could be helpful for you and others with similar pay cycles. I recommend submitting feedback regarding the ability to modify pay periods without impacting tax and National Insurance calculations.

Let me guide you through the steps:
