If you have a NEST pension, we can also automatically trigger the direct debit payment for you after each submission.
Self-service portal for employees, including a mobile app
Decrease the time it takes you to run payroll and prevent manual data entry errors by allowing your clients employees to submit leave requests, time sheets and update their personal information through our Employee Payroll portal and Mobile Application (iPhone and Android).
Managers can also sign in to this portal to approve leave requests, time sheets and shift rosters for their direct reports. This information is then automatically flowed into the next payroll so all calculations are correct without you having to manually collate time off and hours worked.
Automatically posts journals for all payroll costs into the correct chart of accounts
Configure your chart of accounts to automatically and flexibly post payroll costs into their correct account in QuickBooks.
You can customise which costs are posted where, allowing you to easily separate out directors remuneration from other employees or even post journals for multiple locations into different accounts.

You can also have multiple different pay schedules in a single company.
Advanced payroll includes over 30 payroll reports out of the box. You can also configure it to automatically email out one or more reports on a schedule.
This allows you to automatically update your customers with the correct payroll reports after each pay run!
Timesheet and rostering functionality
Manage rosters for your shift workers directly within advanced payroll, or the Manager portal. Managers can create rosters for locations that they are responsible for and assign them to your employees. Employees can swap shifts, bid on open shifts and manage their availability if you chose to enable this feature.
Employees can then enter their time sheets, clock in and out of shifts, for their manager or payroll administrator to approve.
This saves you a lot of time as this information is automatically pulled into the appropriate pay run, ensuring that you don't need to manually copy and paste information from other systems.

I have setup the payroll for the first time and setup pensionsync.
I havent run a payroll yet but wish to not have the pensionsync, I would prefer to manually do this as I believe it is not possible to unlock/delete a payrun which could be likely due to new setup :-)

You still have the option to manually add a pension. However, once the pensionsyc is turned on, there isn't a way we can turn this off in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

I am new to QBO advanced payroll. Having been switched to this from my previous paysuite on QB. I have a problem with pension payments. Pension payments have been deducted from some staff but I have 3 that it has not deducted it from, even though they previously paid. Not sure why? Any help would be great.
Also I am not payroll trained in any way so make it easy please ....

Are all staff on the same pension contribution plan?
If you have earning thresholds enabled for the pension, please ensure that these 3 employees are earning above the threshold for this payroll period as shown here for the 20/21 tax year.
