Hi

 

I  have emailed our employees there payslips but they need a password to open these, how do we set this up?

Thanks for reaching out to the Community.

 

The passwords are set by default and would be specific to each employee.

The password is eight characters, and made up of the following.

  • First 4 letters of the employee’s surname* (lowercase)
  • First 4 characters of the NI number (lowercase). If the NI number is not there, then the employee’s birth year is used instead.

Example: If the employee’s last name is Smith and her NI number is AB234455C , then her password would be smitab23 .

 

*In the event that the employees Surname is fewer than 4 letters, the password would just be the full surname followed by the first 4 of the NI number

When you say you haven't got your payslips at all could you give me some more information. Are the payslips not being produced after you have run the payroll, are you unable to run the payroll?

hey they stop coming thought on 18 of july and after that I have not getting them and same with my job agency she have stop getting thought my boss and they not come thought she need them like I do it is really in important

Thanks. Another quick question, not related to this topic though.  

 

I have created an employee payslip in QB online and want to change the address of it.  Best would be that I delete the payslip and create a new one.  It does  not allow me to do that.  Any solution here?

Hello FA1977, 

 

If you have standard payroll then if you delete the payrun, do the changes and then run the payroll again for that period. 

 

If you have advanced payroll and pension sync on then it would be a case of doing the change and then the next payslip would have the new details on but you cant get it on the current payslip.

Hello again, we have the QB Standard payroll.  But there is no way I can delete the payslip.  We only have one employee right now in QB.

 

Please check the attachment.  I have been helped before by one of your awesome reps who was online and was able to walk me though shared screen, can we do that?

Hello FA1977, 

 

Unfortunately there is no way of doing a screen share, this is just a message help support, we can only do screen scare if customer ring in and need to do one. 

 

To delete a payslip you would need to delete the pay run for that period to do this is 

 

go to payroll>payroll history>click into that period>actions top right>delete payroll. (this will delete that payslip for you)

 

Do the changes you need to save them> then re run that period and it will do a new payslip.
