We can’t connect to HMRC right now

Did you get an error message when connecting to HMRC, tjones3?

 

It would help me provide the correct solution if you can give the error message you've got. 

 

In the meantime, we can perform some troubleshooting steps to isolate why you're unable to connect to HMRC. Let's start by using an incognito window. This type of window doesn't record any search history making the browser to load faster. You can us these keyboard shortcuts to open this window:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Internet Explorer: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

 

If it works, you can go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. A piled cache can also be the reason for the unexpected issues on the pages we've opened like QuickBooks.

 

You also have the option to use a different browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari. There are times that the browser we're currently using has a page maintenance.
