After exporting a timesheet from QuickBooks Time to QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can view the start and end times for each time entry in the Time section of QBO, Stan. Let’s explore this process in more detail.
First, access your QBO account and navigate to the Time entries section from Time. Here, you can click each entry to see the start and end times of your employees’ work shifts.

However, please note that when running payroll, you will only see the total duration of the time worked, rather than the detailed breakdown of start and end times for each entry. This approach focuses on aggregating the total hours worked for payroll processing. If you need to input specific times, you'll have to do this manually in the pay run according to your payroll rule setup.
Additionally, keep in mind the following before mapping payroll items:
- To use the payroll item mapping tool, you need an active payroll subscription.
- Initial payroll item mapping takes place during the setup of the QuickBooks Time and QuickBooks Online integration.
- Only account administrators have the authority to map payroll items.
- Ensure that your employees have payroll items assigned in QuickBooks Online.
- If you track overtime, make sure that is set up in your account.

Once you've completed these steps, you can run and utilize the itemized total time report. This report displays the total hours tracked against each job or customer, including details about which team members worked on each task.
