Our Product Team is currently investigating why payroll journals are not posting for May 2020 despite having posted previous months.
A ticket is created to monitor all affected users. I highly recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Payroll Team so they can add your account to the investigation (INV-46513). This way, you'll receive updates regarding the issue via email.
Why did payroll not create journal entries for employee pay when I ran payroll?
I do appreciate for letting us know, TeeBeeHBT.
Our engineers are still closely looking into the error you're prompted when submitting payroll. Our engineers suggested that if the journal/payslip has not been posted, you can log out and back in to QuickBooks to refresh and the journal/payslip to be put back in the queue for processing.
Then, we can review your Chart of Accounts to import accounts you need to import new ones. Once completed, you can return to the PayRun and click the Export to QuickBooks again.
Let me show you how to import:
Go to the left menu and click Accounting.
Select Chartof Accounts.
At the upper-right, click the New drop-down.
I'd also recommend getting in touch with us if the same thing happens so you'll receive updates from us via email. You can follow the steps provided by my colleague on how to contact us.
We'll surely get in touch with you once fix is available. You take care and keep safe always!
