Export receipts from QuickBooks Self-Employed

SOLVEDby QuickBooks1Updated 1 year ago

Learn how to export your receipts.

Need the receipts you entered into QuickBooks Self-Employed? You can export them all at once or one at a time.

We recommend using a web browser since the download file may be large.

On a web browser

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. In the Receipts section, select a tax year from the dropdown. If you want everything, select All time.
  3. Select Download.
  4. Select the link to download your receipts as a ZIP file.

Important: If you select All Time and see an error, don't worry. It means you have a lot of receipts and the file is too large. Download your receipts one tax year at a time.

On the mobile app (iOS or Android)

  1. Select the profile or menu  icon, then select Settings.
  2. Select Reports.
  3. Select Export receipts.
  4. In the Tax Year field, select a tax year.
  5. Enter the email address you want QuickBooks to send the file to.
  6. Select Send. We'll send you an email once it's complete.
  7. On a computer, open the email and select Sign in.
  8. Select the link to download your receipts to your computer.

On a web browser

  1. Go to the Transactions menu.
  2. Find the transaction with the receipt.
  3. Select the arrow ▶ to expand the view.
  4. In the Receipt section, select the download button.

On the mobile app (iOS or Android)

  1. Go to the Transactions menu, or select the menu  icon and then the Transactions menu.
  2. Select the Reviewed tab if you've already categorised the transaction. If you haven't, select the Unreviewed tab.
  3. Find the transaction.
  4. Select View/edit receipt.
  5. Select View receipt.
  6. Select the Share icon. You can share via email or your cloud storage and then download from there.
