PayPal payment by debit card did not go through

One of my customers paid their invoice via the pay by debit card option and she got an opps it's not you it's us message that there was a back office issue and the payment may or may not have gone through.  It's showing pending in her bank but showing unpaid on my QuickBooks online account and we now have to wait for the online banking to update on Monday to see if the payment was rejected and all the time I'm out of pocket with the invoice unpaid and not in my paypal account

PayPal payment by debit card did not go through

Thank you for reaching out to the QuickBooks Community, keepingupappeara. There is an open investigation into the situation you are sharing. Our Payment Team is aware, and I recommend connecting with us and sharing this number INV-83740 to be added to the list of affected users.  They will also be able to check your account and see if the payment did, in fact, go through. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. Hit the Contact Us button
  3. Enter "callback" in the "What can we help you with?" section.
  4. Select "Let's Talk"
  5. Pick the "Get a call" option to connect with us.
