Checking Self-assessment submission statuses for clients via Agent's account on gov.uk

Hi colleagues,

I hope you're all doing well. I wanted to ask how you're checking the self-assessment submission statuses for your clients. Are you manually ticking every single name in the Agent's account to check the status, or is there a more efficient method to view all statuses in one place? With hundreds of names, it's quite time-consuming.

I acknowledge that time is a key factor in running a business, Marina. I’d like to suggest an alternative method that automates the process of checking client names for self-assessment submissions.

In situations where you'll have to manually mark each client's name, you might want to explore integration options with third-party software that specializes in tax automation and client management. These tools can provide automated notifications and detailed reports, ensuring that you stay on top of your clients' submissions with minimal effort.

Let me help run a search for you by going to the QuickBooks Apps Center.  Afterward, enter a keyword in the Search field. Choose the app that best fits your needs from the list, or read customer reviews for a more accurate comparison.

I've included some links with a handy checklist to help you stay organized with your transactions and get ready for your Self Assessment for your Income Tax return:
