Reactivate your QuickBooks subscription

Welcome back to QuickBooks. If your subscription has lapsed, you can reactivate it and access your company data swiftly.

Usually, you will be prompted to resubscribe immediately after you sign in. If this prompt does not appear, please follow the steps below.

Reactivating your subscription

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks company.
  2. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Subscriptions and billing.
  3. Select Resubscribe.
  4. Select the appropriate payment method.
  5. Enter the updated payment and billing information.
  6. Select Resubscribe.

Check your billing information

After resubscribing, we recommend verifying your next payment date.

Next, you'll have to sign out and in again to make sure your QuickBooks account is updated.

  1. Sign out, then sign in again.
  2. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Subscriptions and billing.
  3. Check the Next charge date. If it's a date in the past, contact support to prevent back-billed charges from occurring.

No. It's our policy not to back-bill.

We preserve your company data for 365 days after the cancellation date in a read-only view. If you resubscribe during that time, your data will still be available.

Billing for all QuickBooks accounts happens overnight, so the charge won't occur until after midnight.

For example, if you resubscribe on 6/1/2022 , the next charge date would be 6/2/2022, and the charge would occur very early on 6/2/2022.

For example, if you resubscribe on 01/06/2023, the next charge date would be 02/06/2023, and the charge would occur very early on 02/06/2023.

The Subscriptions and billing area is currently only available in the web version of QuickBooks, so you'll need to sign in using a computer browser.
