Learn how to add your accountant in QuickBooks Sole Trader
With access to your company, your accountant can review your books, make corrections, and collaborate on any issues. Accountant users have additional privileges that let them reconcile accounts, lock transactions to prevent them from being changed, and write off invoices.
Invite your accountant
- Sign in to your QuickBooks Sole Trader Account
- Select My accountant
- If you are inviting an accountant for the first time, enter the accountant's email address, then select Invite. Follow the prompt to verify your account.
Find out what happens when you invite your accountant
- Your accountant will receive an email with an invitation. They'll need to follow the steps in the email to accept the invitation.
- Your accountant will get a link to access your QuickBooks Sole Trader company if they already have QuickBooks Online Accountant. If they don’t, they will need to sign up. Signing up is free and lets them access all of the features available in your version of QuickBooks at no cost to you.
