Link your cash on hand account to QuickBooks

If you don’t see your cash on hand account when trying to connect your bank, you may need to update the account’s detail type first.

Step 1: Update the account detail type

1. Follow this link to complete the steps in product
2. Find the account, open the dropdown, and select Edit.
3. In Detail type, choose Current, Money Market, or Savings.
4. Select Save and Close.
5. When prompted with the message about account type changes, select Yes to confirm. This won’t affect your existing accounting or reports.

Step 2: Connect the account to QuickBooks

1. Follow the steps to connect your bank account.
2. On the account type page, select the new detail type.
3. Select Next.
4. On the map account page, pick the account from the list (or create a new one).
5. Review your selection, then select Connect.

Your cash on hand account is now linked to QuickBooks.
