VAT Error Checker

On 2nd of April 2021 a change was made in product to discontinue the term "Smartscan", instead replacing it with a more descriptive title to better direct customers to its uses.

There is no functionality change, and will work in precisely the same way it did previously

Upon clicking the drop down menu next to a VAT return you will see "Error check your VAT return" which will guide customers through a series of checks to validate transactions comprising their VAT return.

What is the VAT Error Checker used for?

The VAT error checker will check transactions that:

• May not have been added to the period (eg: via Banking)
• May be duplicates
• Could have inconsistent VAT codes
• Are exceptions

The error checker will also show a breakdown by VAT code for income and expenditure, as well as a list of high value transactions for review.
