Add or edit your business details in QuickBooks Online Advanced Payroll

If your business details change or you need to correct existing information, you can update them at any time in QuickBooks Online Advanced Payroll. This includes your business name, legal name, Company Registration Number (CRN), address, contact information, and more.

This article is for customers who use QuickBooks Online Advanced Payroll.

Update your business details

You can make changes to your business name, legal details, address, and contact information directly from Payroll Settings.

  1. Select Settings ⚙, then choose Payroll settings
  2. Under Business Settings, select Details
  3. Enter or update the following information:
    • Business name – Appears throughout QuickBooks
    • Legal name – Appears on payslips
    • Company Registration Number (CRN)
    • Postcode/Town
    • Address – Tick Enter Business Address Manually to enter it manually
    • Contact name
    • Contact email address – Used for system notifications. (If a different email is listed on the Payslips page, that will be used for payslip notifications only.)
    • Contact phone number
    • Contact fax number
    • Standard hours per day
    • Work week
    • External ID
  4. Select Save, then Close

Your business information will now be updated across QuickBooks.

Note: You can also access your business details by going to Payroll, selecting the Payroll Settings tab, and choosing Details under Business Settings.
