Merge duplicate customers in QuickBooks Online

by Intuit10 Updated 1 month ago

If you have duplicate customer profiles, merge them to keep your customer list organised. Merging combines ‌data from two profiles into one.

When you merge customer profiles, all data from the duplicate profile is moved into the profile you want to keep. The duplicate profile will become inactive. This action is permanent and can't be undone.

Prerequisites

Check that neither customer has sub-customers before you merge them. If they do, change their sub-customers into regular customers. Sub-customers include projects linked to the customer. Make sure you remove the  projects or sub-customers from the customer so you can merge them.
