Link your email account in QuickBooks Practice Manager
by Intuit• Updated 1 year ago
Linking your existing Gmail or Office 365 email account to QuickBooks Practice Manager can help you stay organised and make sure all of your emails are in one place.
We’ll explain how to link your email account, as well as how to change email is integration settings.
Important to know
- You can create tasks and clients directly from an email. This means that any messages you get or send will have tasks and clients linked to them, so you don't have to add them yourself.
- The Practice Manager lets you send, reply, forward and delete emails. You can also use the secure file attachment and request features. All of these activities will be reflected in your Gmail or Office365 accounts as well.
- Go to Email.
- Choose either Gmail or Office 365.
- Once you grant the necessary permissions, your emails will show.
- You’ll see the following tabs:
- Priority - this includes all emails from your clients already within Practice Manager
- Other - this includes all emails from your clients who have not yet been added to Practice Manager
- Select the email to open its details. You’ll see options next to the email’s preview that let you mark the email as done, create a task from email or delete.
- If you need to write a new email, select the Create new email icon.
Note: Marking an email as Done will move it out of your To do inbox and into the Done tab, and is archived in your Gmail or Outlook account. Done emails will stay in the client’s Emails tab.
When you open the email, you can reassign it to another team member or reply. You can show options to create a client from an email, log the email in an existing client, or add it to a task with the three-dot icon.
Change email integration settings
- Go to Settings.
- Select the Email integration tab.
- Select the three-dot icon to show the following options:
- Refresh inbox
- Disconnect
