Convert an email into a task in QuickBooks Practice Manager
by Intuit• Updated 1 year ago
When it comes to keeping track of projects, due dates and tasks within your practice management software, having the ability to convert emails into tasks can be a massive time saver. In this article, we’ll explore how to convert or link an email into a task.
You can make any email, whether it’s in the Priority or Other tab, into a task.
- Go to Email.
- Select either the Priority or Other tab.
- Locate and select the email to open its details.
- Select Create task from email.
Practice Manager will automatically turn this email into a task which you can find in the To do tab.
The default task name is the subject of the email, and the subtask name is "Review email." The “Review email” subtask is an instruction subtask and you can add more subtasks if needed.
Once a task has been opened, it can be assigned to a client if necessary or edited by selecting the three-dot icon which displays options including saving the task as a template, applying an existing template, making it recurring or deleting the task altogether.
The email itself will show in both the task’s and the client’s Email tab.
You can also link an email to a task. This will help keep your client files neat and organised.
