What to expect
You'll have received an email from us or seen a message within QuickBooks letting you know that your move is coming. We'll handle the migration for you. Your existing data, transaction history, and bank connections will all carry over, so there's nothing to set up from scratch.
There is one important step you'll need to complete before your migration date.
Action required: Reconnect your bank before your migration date
To make sure your move to QuickBooks Sole Trader Plus goes smoothly, you'll need to reconnect your bank connection before the migration takes place. This is the only action required from you.
Moving voluntarily before your migration date? You'll be prompted to reconnect as part of the process — simply follow the steps when asked.
Waiting to be moved automatically? You'll need to reconnect your bank connection yourself before your migration date. Follow the guide for your current product:

Your refund
If we move you automatically, we'll automatically refund you for any unused time left on your subscription. For example, if 70% of your billing period has passed when you're moved, you'll get a refund for the remaining 30%. It goes back to your original payment method, and your billing date stays the same. You don't need to request this — it will be applied automatically.
What carries over when you move
Once you've moved to QuickBooks Sole Trader Plus, the following comes with you:
- Your transaction history
- Your invoices and customer details
- Your mileage and receipts
- Your bank connections (once you've reconnected, as above)
After your move, your workspace will look a little different — you'll be on the full QuickBooks Online platform. To help you get settled in, see:
