Keeping in touch (KIT) days in QuickBooks Online Advanced Payroll

by Intuit Updated 4 months ago

Keeping in touch (KIT) days are special days when employees on Maternity leave can choose to work and get paid for up to 10 days.

These days are optional and both the employee and employer need to agree on the details, such as the payment and the type of work to be done.

To pay KIT days within the pay run:

  1. Go to Payroll.
  2. Open the pay run.
  3. Select the employee to open their details.
  4. Select Actions.
  5. Select Add Earnings.
  6. In the earnings line that you have just added, select the pay category list.
  7. Select Keeping in Touch Day.
  8. Enter the amount of days and the rate per day.
  9. Select Save.
