Turn on QuickBooks Online Standard Payroll

You probably hired some new employees and you need a payroll solution, or you are switching from another payroll system. In either case, you can use QuickBooks Online Standard Payroll to pay your employees and manage your other payroll tasks.

Ready to turn on Payroll? From your QuickBooks Online company, you can easily turn on payroll.

To turn on Standard Payroll

  1. Sign into QuickBooks Online and go to Payroll.
  2. Select Choose your plan. You'll see the two options to choose from: Standard Payroll and Advanced Payroll.
  3. From the Standard Payroll option, select Start 1 month free trial.
  4. Go to Employees or Payroll menu, then select Let's go to set up your payroll in QuickBooks Online.

That's it! You now have Standard Payroll turned on in QuickBooks. Read our setup instructions to help you get started.
