Invite multiple employees to Workforce

Tired of printing payslips? We’ve now made it easier to invite your employees to QuickBooks Workforce. You have the option to Invite to Workforce from the Employee page which lets you invite multiple employees by adding their email address. This makes it easier to share payroll information with employees online. 

Invite new and existing employees to Workforce so they can start checking their payslips and payroll documents themselves.

Customise journal mapping

You can modify your journal mapping and specify which account you want your payroll chart of accounts to post to. Before, you could only see the Net Pay account which was only available to bank accounts. Now you can edit the settings for future pay runs and journal entries will automatically post in the new accounts. If you need to, you can reset the accounts at any time.  

Add employee notes

Anyone who has access to payroll can leave notes in the employee’s profile. Use notes to track information about your employee and leave comments. Notes are private and will not show on payslips. Learn how to add and use notes. 

Automatic pro-rata calculation

Employees will now get an adjusted/pro-rated salary if an employee starts or leaves within the pay period. When you run payroll, you’ll see a message above the employee’s name which  explains the salary adjustment. QuickBooks takes the employee’s working schedule and the days they have worked within the period into account. This means you no longer have to manually calculate this prorated figure.
