Change the first day of your work week

Learn how to change the first day of the work week in QuickBooks Online. If you use QuickBooks Time to track timesheets, updating the week start day in your QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Online Payroll Premium and Elite settings will automatically update the week start day in QuickBooks Time when it syncs.

This article is for customers who use QuickBooks Online Core, Premium, or Elite Payroll.

Edit the first day of your work week

The steps to update the first day of your work week will vary depending on whether you have QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Online Payroll Premium and Elite.


Update in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Online Payroll

  1. Go to Settings Settings gear icon. and select Account and settings.
  2. Select the Time tab.
  3. In the Time tracking section, select the edit icon ✎.
  4. From the First day of work week â–Ľ dropdown, select the day your work week starts.
  5. Select Save.

Note: Changing this setting here will automatically update your overtime calculations for Payroll Premium and Elite.
