Desktop UK Payroll Discontinuation FAQ's

Desktop Payroll will no longer be available through QuickBooks UK Desktop from 6 April 2020.

Our priority is supporting you in getting your employees paid so we've worked hard to build a payroll product that is simple, easy to use and best in class - QuickBooks Online Payroll

Online Payroll includes automatic updates, access anywhere /anytime to your payroll and a suite of products tailored to your needs.

QuickBooks Online Payroll requires QuickBooks Online.

You will be able to download your payroll data from March 24, 2020 (previously March 19). Please ensure automatic updates are enabled.

 

April is the end of the tax year, making it the easiest time to switch. We have our award winning Customer Success team available to support you if you need any help in moving to Online.

We recommend that you export your data from Desktop after you have run your last payroll, finalised any changes & completed payroll year-end. You will be able to download your payroll data from March 24, 2020 (previously March 19). Please ensure automatic updates are enabled. See UK Payroll Discontinuation for QuickBooks Desktop for further details.

Desktop Payroll will no longer be available through QuickBooks UK Desktop from 6 April 2020. You will not be able to access the payroll centre after April 19, 2020.
