Disconnect the GoCardless app from QuickBooks

Learn how to disconnect from the GoCardless app in QuickBooks Online.
Before you disconnect
- Only the user who originally connected GoCardless to QuickBooks can disconnect it.
- If that user no longer appears in Manage users, contact us via chat or request a call back and we’ll help.
What to expect after disconnecting
- You’ll no longer be able to schedule direct debit on invoices in QuickBooks.
- Any invoices that were already scheduled for direct debit won’t be collected through GoCardless.
If the due date hasn’t arrived yet, you’ll need to collect the payment manually. - Deposits aren’t created in QuickBooks for direct debit payments that were already collected when they later appear on your bank account.
- Mandates requested through QuickBooks remain available in GoCardless.
- If you reconnect GoCardless later, you’ll need to import your mandates again.
Disconnect GoCardless
- Follow this link to complete the steps in product.
- Find GoCardless for QuickBooks, then select the â–Ľ drop-down.
- Choose Disconnect. You’ll see a confirmation that QuickBooks is no longer connected to the app.
