Hello there, @xaraneaex. Connecting QuickBooks Online for Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax (commonly known as MTD for ITSA) is different from linking it for VAT. This process involves granting the program permission to share your records with HMRC, which allows it to automatically pull your tax deadlines directly into the dashboard.
To get started, go to All Apps in the left-hand menu and select Income Tax. If it’s your first time, a welcome screen will appear. Then, click Join MTD for Income Tax. Ensure you are registered with HMRC before proceeding with Making Tax Digital (MTD).
After that, follow the on-screen instructions to authorise the connection, set your income sources, and verify obligations.
Please be aware that your obligations may not be immediately apparent. You can wait up to 24 hours for HMRC's systems to sync with QuickBooks Online.
