Create an invoice your customer can pay online

Online Payment is available with the Accept Card Payments with PayPal app. Learn more.

To connect to PayPal:

  1. Select + New.
  2. Select Invoice.
  3. At the top of the invoice, click Accept Card Payments with PayPal.
  4. Click Launch PayPal which will direct you to the login screen.
  5. Sign in by entering your username and password.
  6. Follow the PayPal prompts.
  7. Click on Go back to QuickBooks Online.
  8. Review account names set-up and category for fees.

PayPal is now connected to your QuickBooks Online invoice payment options.

  1. Select + New.
  2. Select Invoice.
  3. At the top of the invoice, tick Accept Card Payments with PayPal.
  4. Enter the invoice details. Make sure to include the customer's email address.
  5. Click Save and send.
  6. Review the invoice. You can add any additional information to the subject line and body of the email.
  7. Click Send and close.

You'll get an email notification when your customer pays, and the payment is recorded in QuickBooks Online.
