Privacy and security in our product

At Intuit, we build privacy and security into everything we do. We know that your information is valuable and you can’t afford to take any risks with it.

We understand that and place the highest importance on protecting you and your online data. You can feel confident when entrusting your personal and financial information to us.

Why we ask for your bank information

We ask for your online banking credentials (username and password) so we can establish a secure, one-way connection with your financial institution, whether it’s a bank, credit union, or card company.

Once we connect to your bank, our product downloads your transactions automatically and securely. Using data that already exists at your bank saves you from having to manually enter and record transactions.

Each time you sign-in to our product, we automatically update, sync, and download your financial transactions so you have the latest information.

How we keep your information secure

We rely on advanced, industry-recognised security and virus safeguards to keep all your financial data private and protected. With password-protected sign in, firewall protected servers, and the same encryption technology (128-bit SSL) used by the world's top banking institutions, we have the security elements in place to give you peace of mind.

How we protect your identify

Your identity is safe with us. We ask only for the following info to create an account:

  • Email address
  • Postcode / Postcode
  • Site-specific password

We will never ask you for information that a hacker would need to steal your identity, such as your National Insurance number, identification card number, bank account numbers, or your home address.

The connection we create is always "read-only." No one can use any of your information in our product to move any money. In addition, we don’t sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their promotional use.

Where your data is physically located

Your data is stored on Intuit-owned servers protected by multiple layers of network, storage, logical, and physical access security. These servers are located in multiple data centres for redundancy, and they provide backup and disaster recovery capabilities.
