How much storage space does the QuickBooks Time mobile app use?

Notes:

  • The storage space used by any app is determined by adding the application and data storage amounts.
  • In QuickBooks Time, the amount of data storage used is affected by your role, the number of people you manage, and your permissions. For example:
    • When an administrator signs in to the mobile app, information for all team members will download, thus using more storage space.
    • When a team member signs in, only their own information will download, using much less storage space.
  • Please note the difference between data use (based on the mobile data plan you purchased from your network provider) and data storage (the storage space on your mobile device that is needed to display text, photos and so on). For more information on the amount of mobile plan data that QuickBooks Time uses, see how much data does the QuickBooks Time app use?

Android

The QuickBooks Time Android app uses about 30MB of storage space.

To compare storage use for each app installed on your Android device and to determine the amount of data storage your individual QuickBooks Time account is using:

  1. Go to Settings, then select Applications.
  2. Select Application manager and scroll down to QuickBooks Time, take note of the amounts of storage being used by the other apps.
  3. Tap QuickBooks Time Mobile.
    • Next to Application, the number of megabytes (MB) that the app itself uses displays.
    • Next to Data, the number of megabytes (MB) of data storage that your individual account is using (based on your role and permissions) displays.

iPhone or Other iOS Device

The QuickBooks Time iOS app uses about 14.8MB of storage space.

To compare storage use for each app installed on your iOS device and to determine the amount of data storage your individual QuickBooks Time account is using:

  1. Go to Settings, then select General.
  2. Select iPhone Storage and scroll down to QuickBooks Time, take note of the amounts of storage being used by the other apps that are installed on your device.
  3. Tap QuickBooks Time. At the right, the number of megabytes (MB) that the QuickBooks Time app itself uses displays.
  4. Tap QuickBooks Time. Next to Documents & Data, the number of megabytes (MB) of data storage that your individual account is using (based on your role and permissions) displays.
