Hello Adam. The time it takes for funds to reach your account depends on how your customer paid. While QuickBooks updates the invoice immediately, the actual money will not move instantly through your banking system.
If you're new to QuickBooks Online Payments, your first payments will take about five business days to arrive due to account setup. After that, funds will be deposited more quickly.
For next-day deposits, transactions made with credit cards, PayPal, Venmo, and ACH will be deposited the next business day if completed before 3 PM PT. Transactions after 3 PM PT will take two business days.
To check your payment status, visit the Merchant Service Center. If there is an issue with a payment, it will not appear in your deposit. Instead, QuickBooks will notify you.
Once we verify the payment status and confirm that the funds have been deposited, your money will be on its way. However, please note that some banks may hold onto funds for additional checks or verification after the deposit is made. If this occurs, we recommend contacting your bank for assistance to find out the cause of the delay.
