Anybody else getting a authenticationFailed INPUT message when trying to connect there NatWest account

Thanks for that mdelectricals, can you please try these to see if one of them allows you to then connect to your Natwest bank in Quickbooks

Can you complete an NVRAM reset (contact apple support or search for the process)

reset the router

use a different network

use a non apple device

If non of them work then try this

If you have your Natwest banking app installed on your device then uninstall it >go to quickbooks and then try link the bank up > once linked then you can reinstall the banking app back on your device

Thanks for taking the time to visit us here, mdelectricals.

We didn't find any reported issue about the connection error. Let's check a few things and fix this.

What we need to do is log in to your bank's website and check if there are no updates or maintenance. If there's none, we can do some troubleshooting steps. Your browser might have stored a lot of caches, which can cause a series of problems.

To do this, open an incognito or private browser. This will not save your browsing history.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option P

Then, sign in to your QuickBooks Online account and try to connect your NatWest account. If you're not getting the error, you can go back to your regular browser. Then, clear the cache to refresh the settings. Make sure to restart the browser afterwards.

Opening a different supported browser is an alternate solution too.

I also have this article to help you with the steps in connecting the account: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.

Let me know how it goes after the steps. I'll be around to help until you're able to connect the account. Thanks.
