Can’t seem to get my Lloyds personal bank to connect to my QuickBooks

Hello, will-ferris. Let’s get your Lloyds bank account connected to QuickBooks.

First, may I know if you encounter any specific error messages when connecting your Lloyd's bank account in QuickBooks? If so, we'd appreciate it if you could share them with us here to provide the necessary troubleshooting.

In the meantime, you can check for any updates, messages, or notifications from your bank that might affect your ability to connect your account to QuickBooks. Sometimes banks have security updates or alerts that can temporarily block third-party connections.

If there are no issues, we can log in to a private window. This will help address caching problems that often lead to strange browser behavior. You can use the keyboard shortcuts below:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

When you can smoothly connect your Lloyds bank account using the private browser, kindly revert to your standard browser and clear its cache only so the system can start fresh. The article above is for the US region, but the same principles apply. If you get the same result, I recommend switching to a different supported browser.

For your future reference in categorizing transactions, please see this US-based article. The steps mentioned on this page also work for your region: Categorize bank transactions in QuickBooks Solopreneur.

If you have any other questions about connecting your Lloyds bank account, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment below. We’re always here to help.

Once you get income and expenses into QuickBooks, ensure they're in the correct category for accurate reporting and tax calculation. If you want to automate this process, use bank rules for recurring or similar transactions.
