Thank you for posting here in the Community page, Meera. No, QuickBooks does not have an option to add a customized section for tax in P&L because this report is known as the Income Statement. It only summarizes revenue, expenses, and net profit, and does not natively include before and after tax.
As a workaround, you can export the P&L to Excel, then manually calculate, add a row or column for before and after tax.
