(code: "INDIRECTTAX-19702") what is this issue about

Hello there, Rahul. I know a possible reason why you encounter the error message and how to get it fixed.

This error code is usually caused by an invalid date when filing VAT in QuickBooks Online (QBO). To make sure you'll get past this, let's verify that the filing date is valid and falls between today's date and the end date.

Moreover, QuickBooks Online (QBO) can occasionally be poorly configured due to locally stored internet cache files which might have caused the error when filing your VAT. I recommend using a different browser or opening a private window to help isolate the issue.

Here's how to activate incognito mode in some of the most common online browsers:

  • Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge: Ctrl+ Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

If you can finally get to file your VAT, it's safe to say that the browser has caused it. This can be fixed by clearing your cache and cookies. This helps refresh website preferences that might be causing problems when you use QuickBooks.

You might also want to check out this article which can serve as your reference to help make sure that no VAT is missed or duplicated when reporting to HMRC: VAT exceptions and reports in QuickBooks Online.

If you have any further questions about VAT, I am available to assist you. I will keep this conversation open so you can reply at any time.
