Is it possible to create a custom delivery note in QBO.
I need two signing boxes at the bottom and I can't seem to find how to customise them.
Many thanks.
Good day, GEPALLET.
For now, we're unable to customise a delivery note. You can only print the default template in our system.
Here's how:
We'd like to get your idea by sending us feedback. This will help us improve our features and services. You can do that by clicking the Gear icon, then choosing Feedback.

I am using a test-drive version to determine functionality before I subscribe.
Under Batch actions, there is no option of Print delivery note
Hello there, Gary Quek.
Based on your screenshot, it looks like you didn't open a customer's profile. First, you'll have to choose a customer, choose the transactions, then print the delivery note. You can refer to my screenshots below.
Feel free to let us know if you have other questions. We'd be happy to address them.
Hi, thanks for the quick response.
I don't see "Delivery Note" but only "Packing Slip". Are they the same? For "Packing Slip" or "Delivery Note", can the report be customized?
It's good that you are trying the QBO test account first before singing up for a real account, Gary Quek!
Yes, the delivery note and the packing slip are just the same. Delivery note is for UK accounts, while the other one is for US accounts. I can see that you're using the US test account, and this is why you see packing slip. Here's the link for the QBO for the UK test drive: https://intuit.me/2E6kD9a.
On the other hand, we're unable to customise a the delivery note form in QuickBooks Online.
I got articles about QuickBooks Online. You might need them in the future. Please check this out: https://intuit.me/2LpdfLz.
You can always get in touch with us here if you have questions.
Have a nice day!
The default delivery note template should have the SKU, it currently only shows quantity and description. When I create a 'delivery note' template from the forms section, it includes the price at the bottom which defeats the purpose of a delivery note.
Please fix this.
Hello there, @JeffTran,
Having the SKU to show up on the default delivery note is a great idea. With this, I'll take note of your suggestion and submit it directly to our product developers. This helps improve your experience in using the program. You can check out our blog posts to learn more about our latest product releases.
However, you can add a custom field to get the SKU appear on the form by going to the Sales menu. Let me guide you how.
The screenshot below shows you the last five steps.
Once done, you can create any sales form, such as invoice, and manually enter the information in the SKU field. You can refer to the sample screenshot below.
Then, print a delivery note from the Transaction List tab of the customer profile. After that, you can see the SKU info on the printed form as seen in the screenshot below.
For your second concern, it could be the Adobe Reader/Acrobat isn't updated. This is the possible reason you're seeing the price when you print the delivery note. To help fix this, let's update the reader so the rate will be removed at the bottom of the form.
You can visit this link: Fix QuickBooks Online Printing Issues on Browsers for Windows. You'll find troubleshooting articles to help fix any printing issues.
The Sales page lets you view your statuses of your sales transactions. You can also view, create, and edit transactions from within the page. To learn more about this menu, go through this article: View Sales Transactions.
I'm just a post away if you need further assistance. Have a great day, @JeffTran.
i have setup QB online for a client in Nigeria, but they want to cancel their account cos of the " Delivery Note" its a Distribution company and they need the document to bear "Delivery Note" and not "Packing Slip"
i need help ASAP please, how do i change my account UK if possible or change the document title?
Hi Success1
Migrating data from one online account to another is not a service that we offer. You would have to manually enter the transactions or run a trial balance report in your Nigerian account and use the information to create an opening balance journal in the new account.
I Also have the same problem , I am from Oman.
I need 'Delivery note' and not 'Packaging Slip', and cancelling my subscription to open up a UK product is not a solution. Me as a user should not worry about UK or US product. I should have a way to customize the packaging slip to delivery note.
In this case, there isn't an option to change the form to delivery note from packing slip.
Let me share this article in case you want to know more about common accounting terms used in the UK and US versions of QBO: Accounting Terminology Across the Globe.
If you need anything moving forward, we're just a post away. Have a good one.
Thank you for the prompt response.
How can I customize the delivery note or (packaging slip), in terms of title and description field?
Hello Hanan1
The delivery note can only be changed as regards to colours and template but it has its basis from whatever your standard template is.You can not change the name of the delivery note as you do not have the option to set up your own with it pulling its layout from the sales forms.
You can add feedback here for our product developers
Emma
I don't have the option of a delivery note. I just have the option for a packing slip. How can I get the option to print a delivery note instead?
Hi there, IrrigationPro.
You might have the US version of QuickBooks Online (QBO). Know that the terms used for UK and US versions are different.
The delivery note is available in UK, while packing slip is for the US version. You can check out these articles for more details:

Why have you not release this function for Sales Receipts and Delivery Notes and all the other forms that are used in the System - not being able to customise the Sales Receipts is killing us as - especially as the QBO sales team told us it was possible and "you can customise like the Desktop version" is clearly a huge lie !
This is not what we want you to feel, @ShopAdmin.
Our sales team is right. You can customise your sales receipts in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. Let me guide you how to do it in QBO.
Here's how:
Then, to apply the template to your invoice or sales receipt:
Here's an article you can read for more information in customising your invoices and sales receipt in QBO: Customise invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.
Additionally, I got you this resource that you can use for future reference: Add, customise, or remove logos on sales forms. There, you'll be guided accordingly on how to add logos to your sales forms.

Hi JasroV,
Thank you for the reply and I do appreciate this
I have been through those "basic customisations" but I need more like in the Desktop Version. I use the Sales Receipt as also the Postage note and when folded the address all shows fine but I want to ALSO show the Sales Receipt Number.....under the address.
Basically we cannot do this
You can for Sales Invoices by customisating the whole document and I am looking for that feature for Sales Receipts
Does that make sense.......
I can see the value of customising the whole sales receipt form in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @ShopAdmin. But I have an alternative method to take care of this issue.
I'd suggest looking for a third-party app that can integrate with QBO. This way, you'll have the option to show the sales receipt number under the address. Just go to the Apps menu or through the QuickBooks App Center. Here are the steps for the second option:
The screenshot below shows you the first two steps. For more information, check out this article: Find Apps. This link is specific to the US region, but it also applies to your country.
In the meantime, I recommend visiting this website: QBO UK Blog. It helps you learn more about our product innovations. Also, you can enter your email address and click Subscribe in the Let's stay in touch section. This way, you'll get the latest tips, advice, and resources straight to your inbox to help your business succeed.
Once connected, it will appear on your My Apps tab from the Apps menu. You'll be able to launch, support, disconnect, or leave an app's review from there. See the screenshot below for your visual reference.
Please know that you can count me in if there's anything else you need. Take care always, @ShopAdmin.
Thank you @RaymondJayO
I appreciate your help but that does not help at all as there are no app that customise the Sales Receipt.
Hello ShopAdmin 👋, Appreciate it may have been a feature in the Desktop version this is not something that is integrated into the Online. You can leave feedback for the product engineers as this may be something they can build into the product. Thanks
