1. Utilize a migration tool. i.e TPExporter for Desktop and TPImporter for Online.

Currently, we're working on a new service to help make your move from QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to QuickBooks Online (QBO) as smooth as possible. Thus, we aren’t able to help you transfer your data from QBDT to QBO until we launch the new migration service.

In the meantime, you can use the open balance method to manually transfer your data from QBDT to QBO.

Their "new service" has been delayed for release until mid-October.

Probably the same year they fix the failed emailing of invoices. They are working on it. It only took them 12 years to fix partial deliveries on purchase orders!

The new service is up and running through a 3rd party. You get 2 years for free and then have to pay for the rest you have legally have to keep for HMRC purposes. In otherwords Intuit are now cashing in by making you move to QBO from Desktop.
