When I email an Invoice to a client they receive two copies of it. Is this by design ?. If so why would they need two copies ??

I want to help investigate the emailing issue with your invoice, elogan1.

When emailing an invoice, your customer will only get one copy of it. In this case, let's check if the invoice is not set a as recurring transaction for your customer. This could be the reason it was sent duplicated or multiple times. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under Lists, choose Recurring transactions.
  3. On the list of the transaction, locate if the invoice is included.
  4. Click Edit to open.
  5. Uncheck the Automatically send emails box.
  6. You can also change the Type to Unschedule.
  7. Once done, press Save Template.

If the invoice is not set as recurring, let's try signing in to QuickBooks Online (QBO) using a private or incognito window. This mode doesn't use the existing cache data and helps us confirm browser-related issues. Here's how:

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Option + P

If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to delete those temporarily stored files and browsing history. The overtime collection of data can create corruption, however, removing this should fix the issue. You can also use supported, up-to-date browsers to roll out the possibility of a browser-related issue.

Feel free to visit our Sales and customer page for more insights about managing your company's income and sales transactions.

Let us know how you get on after trying the steps as I want to ensure this is resolved for you. Just reply to this post and I'll get back to you. Have a great day ahead.
