Expand customers reports details

Hello Community members, Have been using quickbooks enterprise 14 for managing my petroleum goods with ease. Currently i upgraded to buying Petrol and Diesel in bulk and redistributing to several customers. Now it happens that a customer can have several trucks where in turn would be appropriate to be processing the customers invoices according to trucks. Please need someone to help on how to enable customer tracking by truck numbers. Have attached a sample report on how i need it to be. Thanks

Hey there, @kimondor.

You can use the class tracking feature to trace customer orders from each truck they are using for their business. Separating them using this ability allows you to run reports and view sales in a more detailed presentation (see screenshot below).

In case you need the steps, here's how:

  1. Click the Edit tab at the top menu bar and select Preferences.
  2. In the Preferences window, choose Accounting.
  3. Go to the Company Preferences tab.
  4. Put a checkmark beside Use class tracking for transactions.
  5. Hit OK.

I’m attaching articles with detailed instructions on how to set up class tracking and customise report. Aside from that, it contains some additional insights that will help you show the data you need from the program:

I want to make sure this is taken care of for you. If you have any other concerns, post a comment below. I’ll pop right back in to assist further. Have a good one.
