Following moved from Desktop the balance sheet does not balance

HI

I have moved the accounts using movemybooks and gone through the checklists and am left with balance sheet that no longer balances.

One of the GB accounts in accounts payable has an open balance of £128.28 but this is not included in trade creditors and this is also the difference in the balance sheet.

And yes the accounts include FX.

Is there an easy way to do a one sided adj to clear it?

Thanks

Hi there, @CLP147. Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the balance sheet report after moving your data from QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to QuickBooks Online (QBO). We understand the importance of ensuring that the balance is correct during this transition.

To ensure that the balance sheet report accurately reflects your company's financial position, please follow these steps when running the report in QuickBooks Online:

  • The date is set to All Dates in both products.
  • Your accounting method is set to accrual.
  • To check the balance of each of your Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Undeposited Funds accounts.

Setting the date range to All Dates ensures that all transactions from the beginning of your company's financial records up until the present date are included in the report. Additionally, selecting the Accrual accounting method recognizes revenue and expenses when they are earned or incurred, providing a more accurate representation of your company's financial institution.

Moreover, if correction is really needed, the easiest way is to go through a Journal entry and seek advice from your accounting professional.

@CLP147

As I know, MMB does not support data conversion with multi-currency transactions. You should run the comparative trial balance reports as the reference to correct your data in QBO. Another option, buy another third-party service to convert your data with multi-currency transactions.
