Greetings, mike. I'm here to help you sort things out so you to keep track of your transactions seamlessly.
Sometimes, a corrupted file cache stored in your browser might be the reason why you have this unusual behavior. I recommend performing some basic troubleshooting procedures to check if you're experiencing a browser-related problem.
Let's start by opening your QuickBooks Online account on a private page or incognito. This mode won't save any browsing history. Here are the shortcut keys to open it:
If you're able to proceed with ease, then you'll have to clear your browser cache regularly. This avoids strange behavior in your browser.
If that does not resolve the issue can we ask is it an expense or income transaction you are entering? Have you added an expense account/ or a product on the main body of the expense?
Could send us a screen shot of the transaction so we can gauge what could be causing the message.
Please let us know how you get on. We're here to guide you through if you have any more concerns about banking or QuickBooks in general. Keep safe.
