Hello there, nick-thompson.

 

I'm here to share some information about the Virgin Money Open Banking.

 

The Open Banking  PSD2 Deadline was on March 14th. This means that bank feed data can only be downloaded into QuickBooks via Open banking API or enhanced screen scraping connection. There are several banks that have no open banking solution readily available or the connection could not be established in time for the regulatory deadline, one of them was Virgin Money.  Please know that the bank feeds in these instances were turned off last March 12, 2020, in compliance with Open Banking regulations.   

Rest assured, we're working closely with banks and financial institutions to provide Open Banking connections for as many banking products as possible and open banking compliant bank feed so that your banks will become available in the future. For now, we can manually upload your bank transactions to your QuickBooks account. You can go to your bank's website and follow the instructions on how to download them. Currently, these are our supported file formats:
 

  • Comma-Separated Values (CSV)
  • QuickBooks Online (QBO)

Here's how to upload the file:
 

  1. Select Banking from the sidebar menu, then choose the Banking tab.
  2. Click the Upload transactions button.
  3. Hit Browse and choose the file you downloaded from your bank.
  4. Select the account you want to upload the transactions into from the QuickBooks account drop-down menu, then select Next
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions, then click Next.
  6. When you’re ready, select Let's go.

After uploading it, let's go back to the Banking menu to match and categorize your bank transactions. Once done, we can now start reconciling them.


I'd also encourage getting in touch with our Customer Care Team since we're tracking the affected users via INV-42733. Our representative will pull up your account then add your contact details to our notification list. This way, you'll be updated when a new connection becomes available.  Before doing so, please check out our support hours to ensure that we address your concerns on time. Feel free to go along with the steps below to connect with us:

 

  1. Click the Help icon.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Enter "Unable to claim Employment Allowance" in the description, then click Let's talk.
  4. Choose Start a chat.
