How can you connect to HSBC Kinetic?

Thanks for posting here, @ashridgedigital-,

I can share the steps to help you link your bank account in QuickBooks Online (QBO). The steps are simple, here's how:

  1. Tap the Transactions or Banking menu.
  2. Click on Connect account from the landing page.
  3. Paste the bank website link or the name of the financial institution you want to connect.
  4. If the bank is supported, you will see it on the options. Select Continue then read through the terms and conditions, then select Agree.
  5. Follow the steps on your bank's internet banking page to authorise QuickBooks to connect to your bank account. Once you authorise the connection, you’ll be redirected back to QuickBooks.
  6. Select the bank accounts you want to connect, and which accounts they will link to in QuickBooks.
  7. Choose Connect. QuickBooks is now connected to your bank accounts and your transactions are now available in the Banking menu.

If you can't find your bank in the supported financial institutions list, you can also temporarily upload the transactions manually in QBO. You can download a CSV file from your bank and map it properly for import. But first, add a register for the bank manually. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu and click New.
  2. Enter the Account Type, Detail Type, Name and other details about the account.
  3. Click on Save and Close when done.

When you're ready to upload the transactions, follow the steps below:

  1. Still from the Banking menu, click the Link Account drop-down.
  2. Click on Upload from file from the options.
  3. Press Browse and choose the file you want to upload.
  4. Choose an account from the list, then Next.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to map the fields.
  6. Select the transactions to import.
  7. Click Yes then Let’s go.
