how do I add a linked receipt to an invoice

Hello, Jodie. If by linked receipts you mean that the receipt was uploaded to QuickBooks, you’ll first need to Review the receipt and check the Make expense and items billable box. Please note that the billable expense feature is exclusive to QuickBooks Online Plus and Advanced.

Once you’ve marked the receipt as billable, follow these steps to link it to an invoice:

  1. From the Uploaded receipt window, click the Create expense button.
  2. Navigate to the + Create menu and select Invoice to begin.
  3. Choose the same customer used in the receipt. Then, a side panel will appear with the suggested expense transaction.
  4. Add the billable expense to the invoice and enter any other necessary details.
  5. After linking it, you can find it in the Attachments section at the bottom of the Invoice page.
  6. Once the information is accurate, click the Save and close button.

Please let me know in the comments if you have any additional questions about this.
