How do I add my accountant to my account on the mobile app?

You can add your accountant to your account using a web browser, Alan. Let me walk you through the step-by-step process below.

Adding your accountant using the mobile app is currently unavailable. Users can only be added through the web version of QuickBooks.

Inviting your accountant allows them to access your company file and accounting information, enabling them to review and make necessary adjustments. To invite your accountant, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online as a primary admin.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and select Manage users.
  3. Click the Accounting Firms tab.
  4. Enter the accountant's email address, then hit Invite.
  5. Follow the prompt to verify your account.

Please note:

  • Your accountant will receive an email about the invitation. You’ll know they accepted your request when the status on the Manage users page changes from Invited to Active.
  • Once accepted, your accountant will have access to your accounts.

If your accountant already has QuickBooks Online Accountant, they will receive a link to access your QuickBooks Online company. If they do not have it yet, they will need to sign up, which is free. By signing up, they can access all the features available in your version of QuickBooks Online at no additional cost to you.

Additionally, you can share this article with your accountant to learn how to effectively send and receive documents between each other: Using shared documents in QuickBooks Online Accountant.

By following the steps provided, you can successfully add your accountant to QuickBooks. Feel free to return to this thread if you need additional help in managing users or any other concerns.
