How do I create a Parent Type in the Chart of Accounts?

Hello Vruti Jivan,

When you say codes are you referring to the VAT codes?

Is it not allowing you to select one?

What happens when you try to select a vat code? Are you getting any errors or messages show up?

How do I create a Parent Type in the Chart of Accounts?

Hi Vruti,

Thanks for getting back to us on this thread.

All of the parent accounts and sub-accounts are setup within the Chart of Accounts - these accounts are completely customisable and you can create as many as you need by going to the Accounting tab on the left menu > select 'New' and then complete the details of the account in the pop-up window.

Once you've created the account, you'll then be able to select this as a parent account on the 'is sub account' drop-down list 😃
