I can help you remove your expense categories in QuickBooks, @leilakaram,

If you're referring to the expenditure accounts in the Chart of Accounts, here's how you can delete them:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu, then click Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find the Expenses or Other Expense account types.
  3. Tap the drop-down beside Run report.
  4. Press Make inactive then Yes.

For you reference with deleting COA accounts, see this linked article: Delete an account on your chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online

On the other hand, if you're pertaining to the product categories, you can access them using these steps:

  1. Click the Gear icon and choose All Lists.
  2. Choose Product Categories from the list.
  3. Find the category to delete and click the drop-down beside Edit.
  4. Press Remove.

Reach out back to me if there's anything else I can do to help you. This thread is always open and I'll be right here to provide further assistance. Have a wonderful day!

I have the information you need to restore your Income category, @drjaffery.

In QuickBooks Online, you can easily restore deleted accounts by making them visible and marking them as active. You can change the settings to show inactive accounts by clicking on the small gear icon and selecting Include inactive to show all accounts.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu, then Chart of Accounts.
  2. Click the Small gear Icon.
  3. Select Include inactive checkbox under Other.

  4. In the Search of Filter field, enter the Income category name.
  5. Select Make active.

You can read this reference to learn more about the chart of accounts in QuickBooks. This contains instructions to edit, hide and add account numbers.

I’ll be here anytime to assist if you need additional help with your income category. Have a good one!
