How to maintain records of Customers who are also a supplier?

Thank you for reaching out to us. Let me help you with your concern about managing records for entities that are both a customer and a supplier in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

QuickBooks will only allow one identical display name for any profile created in your account. You'll need to modify the display name by adding an additional character to differentiate the new customer account from the existing supplier account. For example, you can use Sample Name (C) for the customer and Sample Name (S) for the supplier.
